Requirement: -

  • Plan, organize, direct, and perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered light and heavy duty and construction type vehicles and related equipment
  • Inspect/operate vehicles and equipment to diagnose problems and determine repairs needed & issues repair orders
  • Directs and/or perform the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of gasoline and diesel engines and other related equipment and systems, transmissions and all related mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and components
  • Design and fabricate special devices and components to improve and enhance vehicle system capability
  • Operate specialized shop tools and equipment such as valve grinders, lathes, welders, and electronic analyser
  • Maintain preventive schedules for equipment and vehicles
  • Provide a high degree of technical s knowledge and expertise for all workshop repairs aspects of the Plant workshop and Technical Department
  • Maintain all machine shop repair and maintenance records
  • Reduce set up time and machining time through process improvements
  • Keep updates with current latest technology regarding the maintenance and repair of all related equipment
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specification using tools such as callipers, height gauges, micrometres, rulers etc.
  • Help coordinate the development of new processes for existing products as part of continuous improvement efforts in the machine shop
  • Ensure accident prevention in the workshop
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the machine shop
  • Supervise all junior staff on their shift activities in the machine shop
  • Monitor performance of all Mechanic & Junior staff of the workshop
  • Manage Offshore/Onshore repair operations to support the running of vessels / equipment’s and vehicles
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment and valves
  • Work and act according to companies defined policies and procedures
  • Report to workshop manager / Supervisor on work done and issues
  • Comply with the HSE requirements in the workshop
  • Manage and organize safety and maintenance of machine shop
  • Provide timely workshop superiors with information regarding technical aspects and spare parts that need to be ordered
  • Ensure that the HSE requirements are observed in the execution of all mechanical activities, Provide guidelines to junior staff on QA/QC and HSE reports/recommendations
  • This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for – at times you will be ask to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements
  • Identify hazards
  • Obtain information from HSE Department
  • Make recommendations to HSE Department
  • Investigate Incidents

Qualification:-

  • Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific Technical Qualification, or equivalent
  • Environment techniques is an asset
  • STCW 95 and updated course

• Risk Assessment And PTW

  • Minimum 08 years of relevant experience in similar roles and industries
