Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical shop drawings: lighting layouts, small power / power layouts, single line diagrams, load / DB schedules, cable tray / trunking / containment routing, LV and electrical room layouts, earthing and lightning protection, and risers.
- Prepare wall mounted device coordination (switches, sockets, manual call points, data, etc.) and reflected ceiling plans where required.
- Produce material take offs / BOQ.
- Cross check against approved submittals; reflect approved vendor and site data; prepare installation details and working clearances.
- Coordinate electrical services with other trades and disciplines.
- Verify cable sizing against load, derating and grouping factors.
- Perform and verify voltage drop checks within permitted limits.
- Verify load schedule balancing and diversity.
- Check cable tray fill, protective device coordination and earthing arrangement.
