About the Role
Levante Holding is seeking a UPDA-certified Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience for building projects in Qatar. The role involves designing electrical and ELV systems, coordinating with other disciplines, managing authority approvals, and providing construction support.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop electrical design calculations and drawings (load calculations, lighting design, power distribution, earthing & lightning protection, SLD)
- Design ELV systems (Fire Alarm, Data, CCTV, Access Control, etc.)
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines and resolve design clashes using BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks)
- Manage and coordinate submissions with authorities such as Kahramaa and Civil Defence Qatar
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents
- Prepare design reports, specifications, and BOQs
- Provide technical support during construction and site execution, respond to RFIs, and resolve technical issues
- Participate in testing & commissioning activities

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design
- UPDA/MMUP Certification (Mandatory)
- Qatar experience required, preferably in consultancy
- Experience in building projects (residential, commercial, mixed use)

Purpose of the Role
- To design, develop, and coordinate electrical systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Qatar regulations, and international standards, while delivering efficient and sustainable design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop electrical design calculations and drawings: load calculations, lighting design, power distribution systems, earthing & lightning protection, Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Design ELV systems (Fire Alarm, Data, CCTV, Access Control, etc.).
- Ensure optimized and cost effective design solutions.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Resolve design clashes using BIM tools (Revit/Navisworks).
- Review and validate design deliverables from other stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate submissions with authorities such as Kahramaa and Civil Defence Qatar.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local regulations.
- Follow up on approvals, NOCs, and permits.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
- Prepare design reports, specifications, and BOQs.
- Provide technical support during construction and site execution, respond to RFIs, and participate in testing & commissioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
- UPDA/MMUP Certification (Mandatory).
- Qatar experience required, preferably in consultancy.
- Experience in building projects (residential, commercial, mixed use).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical design standards (IEC, BS, NFPA).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux/ETAP.
- Familiarity with Qatar authority regulations.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
