Responsibilities
- Produce regular, timely and relevant insights for Global Markets colleagues, broader CIB colleagues, senior leadership, and clients.
- Compile and publish periodic Fixed Income research reports focusing on GCC fixed income market development.
- Analyze new bond and sukuk issues, assessing issuer/fundamental risk and providing views on pricing and risk reward.
- Monitor primary and secondary fixed income markets in GCC and broader EM to identify trends and opportunities.
- Keep watch on broader macro and credit events/data to maintain house view and update stakeholders.
- Support other analysts within the Market Insights team with publications and daily workflow.
- Train and mentor junior analysts.
- Work closely with senior leadership on strategy and transformation projects.
- Develop strategic pitchbooks/presentations for sales and relationship managers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with in depth knowledge of regional geopolitics and Asian macroeconomics in global financial markets
- Extensive experience in writing client facing reports and presentations
- Proven track record in knowledge and expertise on GCC risk markets and geopolitics / oil
- Creative thinker in constructing, narrating, and presenting key themes to stakeholders

Job Summary
- To be a key, research producing member of the Market Insights & Strategy team within the Global Markets division of FAB.
- Successful candidate will work as an integral part of the team in providing internal stakeholders, senior management, and clients with regular, timely and value accretive insights and analysis.
- Recognized as an experienced member of the Global Markets team regarding GCC fixed income markets in particular.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the provision of regular, timely and relevant insights to Global Markets colleagues, broader CIB colleagues, senior leadership, and clients.
- Ownership and primary responsibility for compiling and publishing periodic Fixed Income research reports focusing on GCC fixed income market.
- Responsible to look at new issues (sukuks & bonds) in the GCC fixed income market, analyzing issuer/fundamental risk and proactively provide views on pricing and risk reward.
- Monitor primary and secondary fixed income market in the GCC and border EM to identify trends and opportunities.
- Keep a close watch on broader macro and credit events/data for maintaining house view on markets.
- Support other analysts within the Market Insights team with their publications and daily workflow.
- Be one of the main go to people within the team.
- Plays a crucial role in enhancing the output of the Market Insights & Strategy team and increasing its visibility.
- A key producer of published reports distributed directly to clients and posted on the corporate website.
- Responsible for further developing the quality of reports and enhancing distribution channels.
- Training/mentoring junior analysts.
- Work very closely with the senior leadership team of the bank's Global Markets division for its strategy and transformation projects.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience required with in depth knowledge of regional geopolitics and Asian macroeconomics in global financial markets.
- Extensive experience in writing client facing reports and presentations.
- Proven track record in terms of knowledge and expertise on GCC risk markets and geopolitics / oil.
