About the Role
First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking an experienced Executive Director to join the Market Insights & Strategy team within Global Markets. The role involves producing regular fixed income research, monitoring GCC and emerging market trends, and providing insights to internal stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities
- Produce regular, timely, and relevant insights on GCC fixed income markets for internal stakeholders and clients
- Compile and publish periodic Fixed Income research reports focusing on GCC fixed income market development
- Analyze new bond and sukuk issues, assessing issuer/fundamental risk and providing views on pricing and risk reward
- Monitor primary and secondary fixed income markets in GCC and border EM to identify trends and opportunities
- Keep watch on broader macro and credit events/data to maintain house view and update stakeholders
- Support other analysts with publications and daily workflow
- Train and mentor junior analysts
- Work with senior leadership on strategy and transformation projects
- Develop strategic pitchbooks/presentations for sales and relationship managers
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with in depth knowledge of regional geopolitics and Asian macroeconomics in global financial markets
- Extensive experience in writing client facing reports and presentations
- Proven track record in knowledge and expertise on GCC risk markets and geopolitics / oil
- Creative thinker in terms of how to construct, narrate, and present key themes and topics

Job Summary
- To be a key, research producing member of the Market Insights & Strategy team within the Global Markets division of FAB.
- Successful candidate will work as an integral part of the team in providing internal stakeholders, senior management, and clients with regular, timely and value accretive insights and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce regular, timely and relevant insights to Global Markets colleagues, broader CIB colleagues, senior leadership, and clients through various publications.
- Ownership and primary responsibility for compiling and publishing periodic Fixed Income research reports focusing on GCC fixed income market.
- Analyze new issues (sukuks & bonds) in GCC fixed income market, assessing issuer/fundamental risk and providing views on pricing and risk reward.
- Monitor primary and secondary fixed income market in GCC and border EM to identify trends and opportunities.
- Keep close watch on broader macro and credit events/data for maintaining house view.
- Support other analysts within the Market Insights team with publications and daily workflow.
- Be one of the main go to people within the team, providing stakeholders with relevant expertise and information.
- Play crucial role in enhancing output of Market Insights & Strategy team and increasing visibility.
- Key producer of published reports distributed to clients and posted on corporate website.
- Responsible for further developing quality of reports and enhancing distribution channels.
- Train/mentor junior analysts.
- Work closely with senior leadership team for strategy and transformation projects.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience required with in depth knowledge of regional geopolitics and Asian macroeconomics in global financial markets.
