About the Role
Alstom is seeking an E&M Interface Manager for the Riyadh Metro Line 2 Extension project. The role involves defining and managing interfaces between Electro Mechanical subsystems, ensuring consistency with contract and system needs, and supporting interface testing.

- Define the System Interface management process: interface identification, interface matrix, interface register
- Define the Interface Documentation (ICD, IS) by pairs of Subsystems and lead their coordination as per production by the subsystems
- Ensure the consistency of the interfaces in accordance with the contract and the system needs
- Manage the detailed interfaces definition and make them agreed by all stockholders and if required approved by the client
- Review the subsystems design documentation to make sure they are aligned with the agreed interfaces
- Support the interface testing to make sure it is aligned with the interface documentation
Requirements
- Master University Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Field experience and good knowledge of railway systems, especially Signaling and available E&M equipment/subsystems
- At least 10 years of experience in Engineering/Technical functions in railway projects
- Good level of English and contract language
- Good working relationship and ability to negotiate with subsystems

Purpose of the job
- To define and manage all the interfaces between Electro Mechanical (E&M) Subsystems (Legacy Rolling Stock, Signalling, SCADA, Platform Screen Doors, Telecommunications, Passenger Information, CCTV, Power Supply, AFC, TVS, MEP...), either within Alstom contract or with other contractors or partners.
- Specific focus is to be given to the interfaces between Alstom scope and Siemens Mobility scope (as our subcontractor for RL2E).
Organization
- Reports to: the Turnkey System Project Engineering Manager (PrEM).
- Direct report under this position: E&M Interface Engineer.
- Internal network: Project team, Construction manager, Subsystem’s engineering managers and installation managers.
- External network: Customer, Consortium Partners, Subcontractors, Consultants.
Main responsibilities
- Define the System Interface management process: interface identification, interface matrix, interface register.

- Ensure the consistency of the interfaces in accordance with the contract and the system needs.
- Manage the detailed interfaces definition and make them agreed by all the stockholders and if required approved by the client.
- Review the subsystems design documentation to make sure they are aligned with the agreed interfaces.
- Support the interface testing to make sure it is aligned with the interface documentation.
Main required competencies
- Master University Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Field experience and a good knowledge of railway systems, especially Signaling and available E&M equipment / subsystems.
- At least 10 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions in railway projects.
- A good level of English and contract Language.
- A good working relationship and ability to negotiate with the subsystems.
