Overview

  • A Duty Manager at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre plays a key leadership role in ensuring seamless hotel operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • As a visible ambassador of the hotel, this role fosters collaboration across departments, inspires operational excellence, and upholds the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

What will I be doing?

  • Provide refined leadership and operational oversight of daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless delivery of Forbes Five Star service standards.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for guests, with particular focus on VIPs, ensuring needs are anticipated and exceeded.
  • Oversee and coordinate operations across all departments to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent hotel performance.
  • Represent Senior Leadership during assigned shifts, assuming full responsibility for hotel operations, decision making, and guest experience.
  • Conduct regular property walks to monitor cleanliness, safety, security, and overall presentation of the hotel.
  • Supervise and verify operational and financial procedures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of reporting.
  • Prepare shift and operational reports, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring correct balances and strict adherence to financial controls.
  • Optimize room revenue through effective inventory management, strategic upselling, and promotion of hotel services.
  • Ensure full compliance with credit, cash handling, and financial policies.
  • Confidently manage, document, and resolve guest concerns, incidents, or emergencies.
  • Lead and execute all safety, security, and emergency procedures with professionalism.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in increasing profitability.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience within Front Office or Concierge in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven sales and upselling capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with a refined, professional presence.
  • Impeccable grooming standards and a genuine passion for delivering elevated, personalized guest service.
  • Previous role as Duty Manager in a luxury hotel (preferred).
  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent (preferred).
  • An in depth knowledge of the hotel, leisure or service sector (preferred).
