Role overview
The Driver Team Leader manages delivery drivers and daily last-mile hub operations.
The role focuses on delivery performance, operational coordination, driver supervision, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of delivery drivers.
- Plan driver allocation, routes, dispatch, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor on-time delivery, productivity, failed deliveries, attendance, and delivery success KPIs.
- Track performance and take corrective action when targets are missed.
- Resolve delivery issues, customer escalations, and operational exceptions.
- Coordinate with warehouse or hub and customer service teams.
- Coach drivers and enforce SOP, safety, and delivery standards compliance.
- Prepare daily operational and performance reports.
- Improve route efficiency, driver productivity, and delivery performance.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, courier, or transportation operations is required.
- Experience managing 20 or more drivers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of route planning, dispatch, and last-mile operations is required.
- Good Excel, Microsoft Office, and delivery-system skills are required.
- A valid driving license and good knowledge of local roads and geography are required.
