Skills

  • API Q2 awareness training
  • Fully conversant with all API standards relating to OEM equipment
  • Experience with BOMCO, HH, NOV, Canrig or other major drilling equipment brands
  • Knowledge of oilfield drilling operations
  • Prior experience working in the Gulf region with the OEM
  • Diploma in Mechanical or a related field
  • Proven experience in servicing and repair of drilling equipment (e.g., mud pumps, top drives, Drawworks, Iron Roughneck, hoisting equipment, Power slips, Pipe racking systems and rig components)
  • Strong technical skills with hands on experience in field service and maintenance
  • Ability to work long hours and stay in the field for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel frequently worldwide for service
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Detailed Job Description

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for drilling equipment, including Top Drive, Draw works, mud pumps, Iron Roughneck, hoisting equipment, rotary systems & Pipe racking system, Power slips, handling tools and related drilling systems.
  • Conduct on site service visits, inspections, and repairs at drilling locations.
  • Read hydraulic and mechanical drawings for drilling equipment and familiarity with AC/DC driven equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery and resolution of technical issues.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, equipment advancements, and customer needs.
  • Preparing and submitting detailed report identifying all work conducted and all hours worked for all site work undertaken.
  • Preparing internal reports from any site observations to allow continual improvement of the Company’s documented quality system and procedures.
  • Generating procedures for inspection, testing, installations, pre commissioning, commissioning, service and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure all documentation related to the work performed is filed for future access in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Responsible for office based activities as necessary, including preparation of spares parts lists.
