Responsibilities
- Create precise technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical projects
- Design solar PV systems including panel layouts, string sizing, and electrical wiring diagrams
- Collaborate with technical/design managers, engineers, and project managers
- Create detailed layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches, and drawings for new and modified equipment
- Maintain accurate project documentation including revisions and as built drawings
- Provide technical support to project teams and other departments
- Suggest design modifications to enhance project efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Identify and address design issues or discrepancies proactively
- Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 2 5 years of work experience in drafting for electrical projects
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and MICRO Station
- Industry recognised advanced vocational or technical training
- Functional knowledge about electrical and solar projects
- Basic understanding of engineering skills and concepts
- Diploma or higher in electrical engineering (preferred)
- Experience in renewable energy (added advantage)

Job Responsibilities
- Create precise and comprehensive technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical projects adhering to industry standards.
- Design solar PV systems including panel layouts, string sizing, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with technical/design managers, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Create detailed layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches, and drawings for new and modified equipment specifications.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation including revisions and as built drawings.
- Provide technical support and assistance to project teams and other departments.
- Suggest design modifications or improvements that enhance project efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Identify and address design issues or discrepancies proactively.
- Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and best practices related to electrical design and solar PV systems.
Qualifications
- Must possess industry recognised advanced vocational or technical training from a reputed institution.
- Diploma or higher in electrical engineering would be a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of using AutoCAD and MICRO Station.
Experience
- Minimum 2 5 years of work experience in drafting for electrical projects.
- Experience in renewable energy would be an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Able to understand specification requirements given by client.
- Functional knowledge about the workings of electrical and solar projects.
- Basic understanding of engineering skills and concepts.
- Drafting speed.
- Able to find corrections and devise drawings.
- Willingness to work to deadlines.
