About the Role

Lead a global team of researchers dedicated to insights that shape exceptional player experiences and the future of play.

Define and execute the vision for PX Research across EA’s global portfolio.

Ensure player understanding informs strategic and creative decisions across the product lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic direction for PX Research from concept and playtesting through live service.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a diverse research organization across studios, markets, and platforms.
  • Unify qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, sentiment, telemetry, and market intelligence into actionable player stories.
  • Align player needs with franchise strategies, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Deliver narratives connecting player understanding to product direction, innovation, growth, and portfolio success.
  • Improve research methods through experimentation, continuous learning, and AI-assisted and data-driven approaches.
  • Build scalable research roadmaps, optimize workflows, and measure research reach and impact.

Qualifications

  • At least 12 years of experience in player research, user research, consumer insights, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience leading multi-disciplinary research teams.
  • A track record of research strategies influencing creative and business outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating with analytics, data science, and market research teams.
  • Strong leadership skills for mentoring and growing a distributed research organization.
  • Excellent storytelling, presentation, and influence skills with executives and product leaders.
  • Expertise in qualitative, quantitative, and telemetry-based research methods.
  • Passion for understanding player motivations and translating insights into meaningful experiences.

Pay Transparency

  • For British Columbia, the listed pay range is CAD 169,500 to CAD 242,600, depending on location.
  • Applicable pay varies by location and is determined using education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geography, and business needs.
  • The role may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
