Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Spa to lead our luxury spa operations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of spa management, from daily operations to strategic growth initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will combine operational excellence with a passion for delivering exceptional wellness experiences to our guests while building and motivating a high-performing team.
- Develop and execute strategic vision and business plans for the spa, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market opportunities in the Abu Dhabi wellness sector
- Oversee all daily spa operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and facility maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor spa staff, including therapists, estheticians, and administrative personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development
- Manage spa budgets, financial forecasting, and profitability analysis; monitor key performance indicators and implement cost-control measures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations specific to UAE standards and hospitality requirements
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones; manage spa promotions and loyalty programs
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards by addressing guest feedback, resolving concerns, and continuously improving service quality
- Establish and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to optimize quality and cost-effectiveness
- Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for service expansion and innovation
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate spa services with broader hotel or wellness center offerings
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement staff recognition programs to maintain high morale and retention
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years or more of progressive experience in spa management or luxury hospitality operations
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing spa facilities or wellness centers
- Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness services, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and P&L analysis
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Outstanding customer service orientation and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations applicable to spa operations in the UAE
- Experience with spa management software and point-of-sale systems
- Proficiency in analyzing data and key performance metrics to drive business decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional language proficiency is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Preferred: Certification or training in spa management, wellness coaching, or hospitality management
- Preferred: Experience in luxury hospitality environments or high-end resort operations
