Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Finance to lead our financial operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior management to drive financial excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organization's strategic objectives.
- The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with collaborative leadership, fostering a culture of transparency, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all financial functions.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals
- Develop and manage comprehensive annual budgets and operational cash flow forecasts, providing strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and long-term financial health
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes professional development and accountability
- Implement and maintain robust systems of internal accounting controls to ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and Saudi Arabia statutory requirements
- Prepare detailed financial reports and variance analyses for management and stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations in a clear and transparent manner
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation
- Conduct monthly and year-end reconciliations of all general ledger balances and bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Review and validate all internal and external financial reporting before distribution, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee tax compliance and ensure all tax-related matters are handled in strict accordance with local legislation and best practices
- Analyze financial performance metrics and operational costs, providing actionable insights to support cost control initiatives and revenue optimization
- Review and evaluate proposed contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and protecting organizational interests
- Prepare the organization for internal and external audits, maintaining comprehensive documentation and demonstrating readiness for audit exercises
- Collaborate with operational departments to provide financial guidance, support decision-making, and drive organizational efficiency
- Stay current with financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices, implementing innovations that enhance financial processes and reporting
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management within the scope of the finance function
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting management, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent senior leadership position
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency with financial management software and accounting systems; experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms is highly desirable
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliation
- Comprehensive understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures
- Solid knowledge of Saudi Arabia tax regulations, labor laws, and financial compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Strategic thinking capability with a focus on organizational profitability and operational efficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining independence and objectivity in financial matters
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
