Job Description

  • As the property's strategic financial business partner, the Director of Finance leads financial and operational strategies for sustainable growth.
  • The role is responsible for finance and accounting functions, ensuring strong financial performance, compliance, accurate reporting, internal controls, and strategic planning.

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long range planning processes.
  • Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support revenue optimization and profitability improvement initiatives.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to hotel management, owners, and Accor corporate offices.
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and financial trends.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with Accor policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and local laws.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Manage risk assessments and financial governance processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Establish performance objectives and succession plans.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Typically 8–12 years of finance experience, including senior leadership experience within hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls.
  • Experience with hotel systems such as Opera PMS and financial management systems is advantageous.
  • Experience guiding, training or mentoring finance team members.
  • High attention to detail and strong personal integrity.
  • A collaborative, solutions focused approach.
