Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and engineering teams, fostering a high performance culture
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company's goals and operational priorities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Partner with Product, Operations, Design, and other business leaders to deliver scalable, high quality solutions
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive architectural decisions, technology investments, and engineering processes that improve performance, reliability, and scalability
- Build, recruit, and retain high performing engineering talent while supporting career development and succession planning
- Monitor engineering performance through key metrics, resource planning, budgeting, and capacity management
- Ensure the security, reliability, and operational excellence of engineering systems and infrastructure
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and optimize engineering operations
- Communicate engineering priorities, progress, and risks effectively to executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to support innovation and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
- At least 5 years in engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and developing engineering managers
- Strong technical background in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud technologies, and modern development practices
- Demonstrated ability to align engineering execution with business and operational objectives
- Experience managing engineering budgets, staffing, resource planning, and organizational growth
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, software quality, and operational excellence
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem solving abilities
