Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility management activities so work aligns with strategic project management plans, policies, and procedures.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, monitor actual performance against budget, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Analyze and prepare financial statements for accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
• Identify cash flow problems and financial irregularities and liaise with department heads on budget control.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure company taxes are paid on time.
• Supervise account clerks and junior accounting staff and provide regular financial updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting legislation and develop the accounting operations team.

Financial Leadership

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals and growth objectives.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives.
• Establish internal controls and manage financial risks.
• Oversee financial systems and software implementation and maintenance.
• Lead and mentor the finance team and support a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and stakeholders and lead or support acquisitions, cost or value analysis, and financial modeling projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in a management accounting-related field.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
• Membership in a relevant professional body such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CPA.
• Strong financial management knowledge and familiarity with the facilities management sector.

• Deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems; ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for non-financial stakeholders.
