About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop, propose, and drive the institution's strategy in cultural and pedagogical areas
- Organize annual events in collaboration with local partners or with own funds
- Manage social networks
- Develop Culturethèque and the media library collection
- Seek partnerships with French and local companies for development of TCF/TEF and DELF exams
- Prepare the institution's budget in agreement with the Board of Directors, manage staff, and implement analysis and monitoring tools
- Establish close relations with cultural professionals and local authorities, as well as pedagogical partners
- Prepare and submit regular activity reports and progress reports to the Board of Directors, cultural advisor, ambassador, and the Ministry
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) or equivalent
- Proven experience in directing a public or private institution abroad or in France, in cultural institutions or local authorities
- Knowledge or mastery of a local language is an asset
- Knowledge of the region is an asset

Description synthétique du poste
- Under the joint authority of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Counselor (COCAC) and the Board of Directors (CA) of the Alliance Française de Dubaï, responsible for executing the institution's project.
- Lead, organize, manage, and represent the Alliance Française de Dubaï (AFD) and French cultural action in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Activités principales
- Elaboration, proposition et impulsion de la stratégie de l’établissement sur les plans culturel et pédagogique.
- Organisation d’événements annuels en collaboration avec les partenaires locaux ou sur fonds propres.
- Gestion des réseaux sociaux.
- Développement de Culturethèque et du fonds de la médiathèque.
- Recherche de partenariats avec les entreprises françaises ou locales pour le développement des diplômes TCF/TEF et DELF.
- Élaboration du budget prévisionnel de l'établissement, gestion du personnel, mise en place d'outils d'analyse et de suivi.
- Établissement d'étroites relations avec les professionnels de la culture et les autorités du pays comme avec les partenaires pédagogiques.
- Préparation et remise de rapports réguliers d’activité et compte rendu des réalisations et du contexte.
Diplômes ou expérience professionnelle recommandée
- Niveau Bac +5 ou équivalent.
- Expérience avérée de direction d’un établissement public ou privé à l’étranger ou en France, dans des institutions culturelles ou des collectivités territoriales.
- La connaissance ou la maîtrise d’une langue locale constituerait un atout.
- La connaissance de la région également.
