Role Overview
BMO is seeking a Digital Product Manager to own product delivery, solution coordination, release readiness, and cross-functional dependency management.
The role requires understanding of digital customer journeys, Agile delivery, technical concepts, and collaboration across business, architecture, design, engineering, and operations.
The position supports customer experience, business value, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Product Management Responsibilities
- Own product development from strategic objectives through launch, adoption, and retirement.
- Research, select, and develop products and services that bridge business requirements with technology capabilities.
- Manage personas, proof of concepts, backlogs, roadmaps, acceptance criteria, product activation, and retirement.
- Act as the business voice for cross-functional teams and translate product vision into actionable work.
- Set product goals, engage stakeholders, lead adoption, and prioritize customer experience outcomes.
Delivery and Operations
- Coordinate product management and development teams so work progresses effectively in parallel.
- Build high-performing cross-functional teams, monitor performance, and address issues.
- Resolve adoption and usage blockers through communications, documentation, and training.
- Establish go-to-market, pricing, and positioning strategies.
- Manage product budgets, timelines, and tactical lifecycle activities.
Analysis and Risk
- Analyze market trends to improve product usability and assess whether products or features are desirable, viable, and functional.
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support while independently solving non-routine problems.
- Apply the bank's Risk Management Framework and make decisions aligned with strategy, policies, laws, regulations, and approved risk appetite.
Qualifications
- Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency is expected in product development, go-to-market asset development, technology business requirements, and Agile product lifecycle management.
- Intermediate proficiency is expected in process improvement, business strategy, research, business operations, financial and risk management, and product management.
- The role requires communication, collaboration, analytical problem solving, influence, customer centricity, learning agility, and data-driven decision making.
- Foundational proficiency is expected in marketing analysis and creative thinking.
Compensation
- The listed salary range is $70,000 to $150,000 with salaried pay type.
- Total compensation may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits.
