About the Role
A banking client in Abu Dhabi seeks a DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end reliability, deployment, and infrastructure for the AWA platform on Azure. Requires 6+ years DevOps/SRE experience with deep Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD expertise in a regulated environment.

- Design, build, and maintain fully automated, reproducible infrastructure using Terraform/Bicep
- Own Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, security scan, and deployment
- Implement GitOps workflows and ensure zero touch deployments
- Manage, scale, and upgrade AKS clusters, node pools, and Azure CNI
- Administer Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Front Door, Log Analytics, Monitor, and Storage Accounts
- Enforce container governance: image scanning, signing, SBOM, and Azure Container Registry policies
- Implement SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and automated rollback
- Enforce security controls: RBAC, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, network segmentation, and private endpoints
- Configure VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall, and ingress controllers for secure multi tier traffic
- Design active passive/active active DR strategy with Azure Site Recovery and geo redundant storage
- Set up end to end observability using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Application Insights
- Lead incident response, RCA, and post mortems for platform issues
Requirements
- 6+ years in DevOps/SRE roles
- 3+ years hands on Azure and Kubernetes
- Expert in Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, AKS, Helm, Docker, and scripting with PowerShell/Bash/Python
- Strong on Azure networking, IAM, Key Vault, Azure Firewall, and security hardening
- Experience in banking/regulated environments preferred

Job Summary
- We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to own end to end reliability, deployment, and infrastructure for the AWA platform within Azure environment. You will drive automation, IaC, CI/CD, and security for a mission critical banking platform running on AKS. This role demands deep Azure + Kubernetes expertise
Key Responsibilities
- IaC & CI/CD Ownership: Design, build, and maintain fully automated, reproducible infrastructure using Terraform/Bicep. Own Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, security scan, and deployment. Implement GitOps workflows and ensure zero touch deployments to all environments.
- AKS & Azure Platform Management: Manage, scale, and upgrade AKS clusters, node pools, and Azure CNI. Administer Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Front Door, Log Analytics, Monitor, and Storage Accounts. Enforce container governance: image scanning, signing, SB
- Reliability & Security: Implement SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and automated rollback. Enforce security controls: RBAC, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, network segmentation, and private endpoints. Manage secrets rotation, cert management, and compliance with UAE banking regulations.
- Networking & High Availability: Configure VNet, NSG, Azure Firewall, and ingress controllers for secure multi tier traffic. Design active passive/active active DR strategy with Azure Site Recovery and geo redundant storage. Conduct DR drills and maintain RTO/RPO within defined limits.
- Monitoring & Incident Management: Set up end to end observability using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Application Insights. Define alerts, dashboards, and runbooks. Lead incident response, RCA, and post mortems for platform issues.
- Collaboration & Governance: Work with Architecture, Security, and App teams to define landing zones and platform standards. Enforce cost optimization, tagging policies, and resource governance. Document HLD/LLD, runbooks, and DR procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 6+ years in DevOps/SRE roles with 3+ years hands on Azure and Kubernetes. Experience in banking/regulated environments preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expert in Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, AKS, Helm, Docker, and scripting with PowerShell/Bash/Python. Strong on Azure networking, IAM, Key Vault, Azure Firewall, and security hardening.
