Purpose of the Role
- The Development Swim Coach is responsible for developing swimmers from Learn to Swim and foundation levels into competitive squad swimmers through structured, progressive coaching programs. The coach focuses on technique, skill development, and long term athlete development.
Key Responsibilities Coaching & Athlete Development
- Plan and deliver high quality swimming sessions.
- Develop swimmers' technique across all four competitive strokes.
- Teach starts, turns, underwater skills, and race strategies.
- Monitor swimmer progression and set individual goals.
- Prepare swimmers for competitions and swim meets.
- Identify talented swimmers and support their transition into higher level squads.

- Manage Foundation, Development squads.
- Track attendance and swimmer performance.

Minimum Requirements Essential Qualifications
- Swim England / ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach (or equivalent)
- Valid First Aid certification
- Child Safeguarding certification
