Role Overview
Design Manager role within a UAE real estate development organisation.
Focus on special projects involving public and civic developments.
Lead design management from concept and ideation through design development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design management lifecycle from concept through execution and delivery.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, engineers and project stakeholders.
- Oversee large-scale public and civic developments, including government, cultural, parks, sports, educational and healthcare projects.
- Review consultant designs against approved briefs, regulations, codes and best practices.
- Manage design quality, programme, cost, risk and project deliverables.
- Coordinate design changes, technical issues, stage-gate submissions and construction documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain design intent through implementation.
- Present strategies, updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support consultant procurement, design briefs, scopes of work and delivery strategies.
- Develop innovative, functional and commercially effective design solutions.
Qualifications
- 10–12 years of design management experience within real estate development.
