Role Purpose
Lead technical delivery of facilities services across a marina and waterfront environment.
Serve as the principal site-based technical contact for the client.
Manage inspectors and provide authoritative oversight across electrical, mechanical, water, and building-services systems.
This is a senior, hands-on Technical Manager role rather than a general facilities management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day technical operations and maintenance across the marina, waterfront, and associated facilities.
- Coordinate inspectors, contractors, and multidisciplinary technical operations.
- Provide leadership across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, water, fire and life safety, and related facilities management trades.
- Review maintenance activities, method statements, risk assessments, permits, reports, and contractor submissions.
- Oversee water hygiene and Legionella control, including tank management, flushing, monitoring, sampling, testing, and corrective actions.
- Monitor asset condition, compliance, maintenance performance, and recurring failures.
- Support investigations, incident response, shutdowns, emergency works, and business continuity.
- Maintain technical records, inspection reports, compliance evidence, and management dashboards.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Substantial experience in a Technical Manager, Engineering Manager, or equivalent senior site-based role.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical facilities management trades.
- Experience leading inspectors, contractors, and multidisciplinary technical operations on a complex site.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance, statutory compliance, asset management, and technical service delivery.
- Working knowledge of SFG20 or an equivalent maintenance standard.
- Knowledge of water hygiene and Legionella control aligned with L8 principles.
- Strong client-facing communication, reporting, problem-solving, and site leadership skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience
- Marine or waterfront experience in a marina, bay, dock station, or mixed-use waterfront destination.
- GCC experience within a large, high-profile development or technically complex operating environment.
- Relevant experience from major marina destinations in Muscat, Dubai, or comparable regional locations.
