Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all mechanical pre construction activities, including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning
  • Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
  • Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc
  • Managing project safety and environmental requirements
  • Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
  • Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
  • Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives
  • Co ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery
  • Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates. Working closely with project team/s to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents
  • Bring strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years project management experience
  • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
  • Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all the operational stages to completion and post project review.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment. ideally residential, office, fit outs and health & education
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential, and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
