About the Role
UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company seeks a Design Manager to provide structural design and technical support, driving key aspects of design, value engineering, and liaising with architects and consultants.

Responsibilities
- Review all specifications, drawings and bill requirements to define all architectural requirements for the project
- Assist in the interpretation of architectural design standards established by local jurisdictions
- Prepare, review and evaluate contract technical specification for architectural elements of capital improvement projects
- Administer and provide concepts for improving plans according to circumstances and resolving any related problems that may arise during construction
- Stay abreast of innovative developments and incorporates these advancements in the development and design of new forming systems/equipment
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance Company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
- Work in cooperation with other office personnel to negotiate and execute sales contracts consistent with policies
- Contribute to the projects safety goals by reducing hazards during the design planning state ensuring that all formwork systems meet construction and safety standards
- Assist with the development and coordination of material and equipment schedules and promote their efficient use
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphics Design or Architecture
- Certificate in Chartered membership of a professional organization such as CIOB or RICS
- Advanced knowledge of BIM Modeling and AutoCAD
- Knowledge using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer aided Design software
- Knowledge in preparation of tender applications and presentations
- In depth knowledge of drawing requirements and work execution
- Knowledge of safety and relevant Osha requirements and regulations
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills

Job Summary
- The Design Manager ensures to provide Structural Design and Technical support to organization Technical Design team and Projects Site.
- This position is responsible for driving and finalizing key aspects of design, assessing buildability, value engineering, liaising with the architects, structural engineers, other consultants and the site production team to ensure the smooth flow of detailed information throughout project lifecycles

Job Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of BIM Modeling and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer aided Design software.
- Demonstrable knowledge and implementation experience of Enterprise Application Architectures/Integration and associated patterns.
- Demonstrated track record of project execution and delivery.
- Knowledge in preparation of tender applications and presentations.
- In depth knowledge of drawing requirements and work execution.
- Knowledge of safety and relevant Osha requirements and regulations.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
