- Manage patient information and medical histories in software
- Monitor and restock dental supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow ups
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post operative care
- Maintain logbooks and prepare data for reports
- Participate in health promotion programs and audits
Requirements
- Experience in dental assisting or related healthcare support
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Ability to assist with dental radiography
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Strong communication and patient care skills

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Handle sensitive administrative issues associated with health care needs and possibly disputes
- Actively participate in health promotion programs
- Participate in regular internal, government and other external audits
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, providing suction, and ensuring patient comfort
- Prepare patients for dental examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Ensure patients' comfort and address their concerns or questions
- Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanour
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized dental operatory and sterilization area
- Assist in dental radiograph (X rays) as directed by the dentist
- Accurate and efficient gathering of patient information, treatment details, and medical histories in software
