Job Description
- The Demi Chef de Partie – Pizza Maker is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- This role supports the kitchen team in delivering consistent, timely service while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation within a hospitality environment.
- Key Responsibilities:* Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, including dough preparation, shaping, topping, and baking, following standard recipes
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of all pizza items
- Assist in the daily mise en place and preparation of ingredients required for pizza production
- Monitor food quality and ensure all items are prepared and served to the highest standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station, including ovens, work surfaces, and tools
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients in line with food safety standards
- Assist in stock control, including monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste
- Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Support senior chefs and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in training commis chefs or junior staff when required
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or high-volume kitchen
- Strong knowledge of pizza preparation techniques, including dough handling and baking methods
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Team-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
