Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and service requirements.
  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and mise en place for service efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control standards are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards and procedures with meticulous attention.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and actively work to minimize food wastage.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all food products according to established protocols.
  • Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining focus on detail and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods relevant to our menu.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations and exceptional guest dining experiences.
  • Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills and operational knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills: Food preparation, cooking techniques, mise en place, food quality control, portion control, kitchen equipment operation, food safety, HACCP, time management, attention to detail, teamwork, communication, physical stamina.
  • Required Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a similar role within a hospitality kitchen environment.
  • Education: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred); Food safety and hygiene certification (preferred).
  • Domain Expertise: Knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredient properties, kitchen operations; Turkish or Mediterranean cuisine is an advantage.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Personal Attributes: Passion for culinary excellence, enthusiasm for guest satisfaction, flexibility, resilience, inclusive mindset, commitment to professional development.
