What is the opportunity?

  • The Data Operations team is the backbone of data integrity at RBC Global Asset Management.
  • As a Data Management Analyst, you'll ensure accuracy and quality of data that flows through the business.

What will you do?

  • Maintain and enrich RBC GAM's data warehouse including security classification, analytics, and reference data.
  • Perform data quality checks for core data and create securities on GAM's platforms.
  • Work with team members to ensure data standards are defined and enforced consistently.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to identify, document, and source data requirements.
  • Validate data, catch errors early, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Support short to mid term project implementations.
  • Document business and technical processes.
  • Develop toolsets and methods to improve data quality and availability.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
  • Identify patterns and recurring issues and suggest proactive solutions.

Must have

  • 1+ years of experience in asset management or investment management operations.
  • Understanding of financial instruments (fixed income, equity, derivative securities) and data flows.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to validate data and ensure accuracy.
  • Coachability and growth mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.

Nice to have

  • Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL and/or Python.

Salary Range

  • The expected salary range is CAD 55,000 CAD 90,000 depending on experience and other factors.
  • This position may be eligible for a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
