Data Engineer – OCI Data Lakehouse (DLH) Projects

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Build ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines with OCI Data Flow, ODI, and AIDP.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and manage Delta Lakehouse ingestion, curation, and consumption layers.
• Design analytical data models, data marts, and datasets on Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
• Manage structured and unstructured data in OCI Object Storage, including lifecycle, governance, and cost optimization.
• Embed data quality, lineage, metadata management, and governance controls in data pipelines.
• Tune SQL, Spark, ETL, and ADW workloads while resolving processing bottlenecks.

Required Experience

• Seven or more years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ADW, OCI Object Storage, OCI Data Flow, ODI, and AIDP.
• Advanced SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience tuning, optimizing, and troubleshooting large-scale data workloads.
• Experience building modern data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms.
• Understanding of Delta Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, data versioning, and modern data engineering practices.

Domain and Collaboration Skills

• Insurance domain exposure may include Policy Administration, Claims Management, Underwriting, and Finance or Regulatory Reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are required.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle GoldenGate experience for real-time replication and CDC pipelines.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data observability frameworks.
• Exposure to AI/ML data preparation and feature engineering in enterprise Data Lakehouse environments.
