Role Overview

GlobalLogic is hiring a Data Engineer for data engineering and data lakehouse work.

The role supports projects across high-tech, communications, media, healthcare, retail, and telecom industries.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in PostgreSQL or SQL, including schemas, query tuning, stored procedures, and indexes.
  • Familiarity with Spark with Scala, PySpark, Kafka, and Flink.
  • Experience with MinIO and Apache Iceberg in data lake or lakehouse setups is good to have.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Stash.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize SQL or PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Integrate datasets from PostgreSQL, NoSQL, object storage, and data lakes.
  • Design pipelines feeding Snowflake or a data lakehouse with other data engineers.
  • Work with data engineering tools including Spark with Scala, PySpark, Kafka, Flink, MinIO, and Iceberg.
  • Deploy and manage pipelines and data lake integrations on OpenShift or AWS Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Stash.
