About the Role
Emirates Flight Training is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to facilitate data capture, modeling, and testing for real-time data-driven decisions. The role requires 5+ years of IT experience, expertise in Power BI, MicroStrategy, and data engineering tools like Dataiku/Python and Snowflake.

Responsibilities
- Understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department
- Develop and maintain interactive Dashboards with tools like Power BI and MicroStrategy
- First line responsibility for timely data delivery, dashboard uptime and accuracy
- Lead on manipulation of existing programming logics and structures to fit changing technologies
- Work with Enterprise Data & Analytics data engineering team to test and validate data ingestion results
- Build expertise in data engineering tools via Dataiku/Python and data warehouses like Snowflake
- Conduct user acceptance testing on data capture by ED&A
- Support ED&A data governance team in addressing data governance requirements
- Support team to enhance knowledge sharing across department in utilizing analytics products
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- Experience in Administration, General administration, Data Analytics, Reporting and Dashboard Implementation
- Experience with Power BI and good knowledge of MicroStrategy
- Good understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning and AI
- Good understanding of Snowflake and SQL based data integration
- Good understanding of Microsoft suite of data collaboration tools like Power Apps, SharePoint
- Good understanding of Data Governance and its documentation
- Ability to understand different user groups needs and translate into workable solutions
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience of working in a multi cultural expatriate environment

Job Purpose
- Emirates Flight Training is a modern, progressive department using CBTA and EBT methodology.
- Data Analytics Specialist will facilitate data capture, modeling and testing to enable real time data driven decisions.
In This Role, You Will
- Understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department.
- Develop and maintain interactive Dashboards with tools like Power BI and Microstrategy.
- First line responsibility for timely data delivery, dashboard uptime and accuracy.
- Lead on the manipulation of existing programming logics and structures.
- Work with Enterprise Data & Analytics data engineering team to test and validate data ingestion.
- Build expertise in data engineering tools via Dataiku / Python, and Snowflake.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in Administration, General administration, Data Analytics, Reporting and Dashboard Implementation.
- Experience within a similar business area with strong focus on data analytics with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with implementation of transformational initiatives.
- Business Intelligence Knowledge and deep understanding of Power BI Platform and good knowledge on MicroStrategy tool.
- Good understanding on Data Science, Machine Learning and AI.
- Good understanding of Snowflake and SQL based data integration.
- Good understanding of Microsoft suite of data collaboration tools like Power Apps, Sharepoint.
- Collaborative contributor with ability to build trusted relationships.
- Good understanding on Data Governance and its documentation.
- Ability to understand different user groups needs and translate into workable solutions.
