About the Role
Swan Global WLL seeks a Data Analyst (Metering) to analyze AMI metering data, provide insights on consumption patterns and system performance, and support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Analyze meter data from AMI and related systems to identify usage patterns, trends, and operational insights
- Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and summaries to support management and operational decision making
- Monitor AMI network data health and perform regular data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation
- Coordinate with metering, IT, and operations teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems
- Identify anomalies, irregularities, or performance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support performance monitoring, forecasting, and operational efficiency initiatives related to metering data
- Develop, maintain, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational dashboards and reports covering meter installation, replacement, SLA performance, etc.
- Track operational activities including work orders, commissioning progress, rectification tasks, and maintenance using structured data analytics
- Ensure compliance with ISO, Risk Management, and information security requirements
- Maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability in accordance with corporate policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Data Analytics Certification (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in metering or utility systems
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, SQL, Excel)
- Knowledge of AMI systems and meter data management
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and reporting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Written and Spoken English is essential

Job Purpose
- The role holder is responsible for analyzing metering data from AMI systems to provide actionable insights on consumption patterns, system performance, and operational efficiency.
- The role supports data driven decision making, data integrity, and continuous improvement of metering operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyzes meter data obtained from AMI and related systems to identify usage patterns, trends, and operational insights.
- Prepares analytical reports, dashboards, and summaries to support management and operational decision making.
- Monitors AMI network data health and performs regular data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
- Coordinates with metering, IT, and operations teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Identifies anomalies, irregularities, or performance issues and recommends corrective actions.
- Supports performance monitoring, forecasting, and operational efficiency initiatives related to metering data.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly operational dashboards and reports covering meter installation, replacement, active and total CWRs, SLA performance, communication status, and data quality indicators.
- Track operational activities including work orders, commissioning progress, rectification tasks, preventive/predictive/emergency maintenance, and closure documentation using structured data analytics.
- Ensures compliance with ISO, Risk Management, and information security requirements.
- Maintains data confidentiality, integrity, and availability in accordance with corporate policies.
- Carries out any other assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Education, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Data Analytics Certification (Power BI, Tableau or equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in metering or utility systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, SQL, Excel).
- Knowledge of AMI systems and meter data management.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and reporting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Efficiency, Adaptability, Communication, Initiative.
- Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
Working Conditions
- Office based with coordination across technical and operational teams; limited site exposure as required.
