About the Role

- Collect and analyze metering data from AMI/AMR systems and other metering platforms.
- Validate meter readings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and investigate data anomalies such as missing readings, spikes, or irregular consumption patterns.
- Support billing teams by ensuring accurate consumption data for invoice generation.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for operational and management decision making.
- Monitor meter performance and highlight technical or communication issues affecting data quality.
- Perform data reconciliation between field meters, head end systems, and billing systems.
- Support revenue assurance and loss detection initiatives through data analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and field teams to resolve data and system issues.
- Maintain and optimize databases, data pipelines, and reporting tools.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and utility standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- Data Analytics Certification
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in utilities, metering, or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar)
- Understanding of AMI/AMR systems and utility metering data is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends or anomalies
- Experience in dashboard creation and reporting automation
- Good understanding of database structures and data validation techniques
- Strong communication skills for presenting insights to technical and non technical teams
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
