Data Analyst

About the role

Duties

• Build effective relationships with operational management and support Internal Audit’s strategy.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including ad hoc projects.
• Identify patterns and trends and present insights in a structured way.
• Prepare statistical and supporting data to communicate findings and critical information.
• Assist with corroborating investigation facts and preparing reports with recommendations.
• Support automated reporting using available corporate applications.
• Identify risks and opportunities through analysis and inform the line manager.
• Evaluate information requirements and resolve data-related problems with colleagues.
• Use Power BI, Alteryx, Python, SQL and BigQuery to automate processing, cleansing and data integrity checks.
• Ensure analytical information is timely, accurate and highlights business opportunities or risks.
• Perform complex tests and maintain robust supporting documentation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during internal audit reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of three years of job-related experience.
• Auditing experience.
• Data analysis skills.
• Stakeholder engagement and management skills.
• Command of English with strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to speak publicly and communicate with senior management.
• Strong business acumen.

Technical capabilities

• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Alteryx, Python, SQL and BigQuery.
• Ability to import, clean, validate and model data.
• Ability to write scripts and develop automated reporting.
• Ability to conduct statistical analysis, complex testing and data integrity verification.
