Role Overview
- We're hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist on behalf of a leading Government organization in Abu Dhabi.
- This role is responsible for implementing and managing security controls to protect the organization's information systems and digital assets.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor security events, analyze logs, and investigate potential incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and execute response procedures.
- Implement identity and access management policies and systems.
- Manage endpoint protection, network security, and firewall configurations.
- Assess and manage third party vendor cybersecurity risks.
- Support compliance with national cybersecurity frameworks and organizational policies.
- Deliver cybersecurity awareness programs and conduct phishing simulation exercises.
- Research emerging cyber threats and recommend proactive security enhancements.
- Manage IT security configurations for infrastructure components including servers, networks, and endpoints to enforce IT governance standards.
Supervisory & Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate with IT and business teams on cybersecurity initiatives and incident response.
- Prepare cybersecurity status reports and risk briefings for management.
- Liaise with external vendors, security providers, and government cybersecurity bodies.
- Guide and support junior team members on cybersecurity tasks and tools.
- Coordinate security awareness training delivery and follow up.
- Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policies across IT systems and user behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH.
- CISSP or CISM.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security.
- Proven expertise in implementing and managing cybersecurity controls and monitoring threats.
- Experience in incident response, vulnerability assessment, and risk mitigation.
