- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, financial due diligence, and valuation
- Proficient in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling
- Advanced Excel skills
- Preferred certification: CFA, CA, ACCA, CPA, or MBA in Finance

Job Purpose
- The Consultant will perform in depth credit risk assessments, including profiling high risk borrowers, analyzing financial statements and operational performance, assessing cash flow sustainability, and evaluating collateral strength.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments across corporate and commercial banking customers.
- Identify high risk customers using early warning signals and key credit risk indicators.
- Assess creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and potential risk triggers.
- Prepare detailed customer background reports, including business model, sector exposure, ownership structure, and historical performance.
- Identify operational or financial weaknesses that may elevate credit risk.
- Analyze audited financial statements to evaluate liquidity, solvency, leverage, and profitability.
- Perform cash flow analysis to determine the borrower’s ability to meet debt obligations.
- Build financial modeling.
- Detect inconsistencies or red flags in financial reporting that may mask risk.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Preferrable certification such as CFA, CA, ACCA, CPA, or MBA in Finance preferred.
- 4–7 years of experience in credit risk assessment, corporate banking, or financial risk advisory.
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, financial due diligence, and valuation.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and credit assessment skills.
- Proficient in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.
- Familiarity with industry specific credit risk drivers and scenarios.
- Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or financial modeling tools is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross functional or client facing teams.
