Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost control strategies aligned with organizational objectives and financial performance targets
- Monitor operational expenses, project costs, procurement spending, and departmental budgets to ensure financial discipline
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, variance analysis, profitability assessments, and financial modeling to identify cost saving opportunities
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and cost performance reports to support business planning and executive decision making
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, operations, supply chain, project management, and business leaders to optimize resource utilization and improve cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain cost control policies, procedures, financial controls, and governance frameworks
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), cost trends, budget utilization, and operational performance to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Evaluate investment proposals, capital expenditures, and business cases by performing financial feasibility and return on investment (ROI) analyses
- Utilize ERP systems, financial planning software, business intelligence platforms, and advanced analytics tools to improve cost visibility and reporting accuracy
- Prepare executive dashboards, financial reports, cost optimization recommendations, and strategic presentations for senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, PMP, or equivalent are highly advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in cost control, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), management accounting, project controls, or corporate finance roles
- 2+ years of experience managing cost control functions, budgeting processes, or financial performance initiatives preferred
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and profitability management
- Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, business intelligence tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and strategic decision making skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide data driven financial recommendations in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
