Job Purpose

Lead hands-on post-award contract management activities for a multibillion-dollar EPCC contract.

Contribute to safe project delivery on time and on budget within a mega LNG capital project.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee critical contracts and provide strategy and direction on complex contractual situations.
  • Negotiate with multiple parties and contribute to best-in-class contract and project execution standards.
  • Manage commercial and contracting activities across the post-award EPCC contract.
  • Support the Value Protection plan and manage contractual correspondence and changes.
  • Identify contractual risks and advise on mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare commercial and contract performance reports for project leadership.
  • Work with the claims team to manage claims and disputes under company governance.
  • Maintain relationships with project management, functional, legal, and risk management teams.
  • Coordinate contract evaluations and end-of-contract closeouts.

Project Environment

  • The role operates in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures.
  • The position involves a multicultural, multinational environment and often requires work under significant time pressure.
  • The role requires accuracy, initiative, multitasking, and high expectations for safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related engineering field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a business-related function, including 4 years in the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor, subcontractor, service, or vendor personnel.
  • Experience in lump-sum major energy projects in a similar post-award position.
  • Hands-on experience managing contractors, contractual correspondence, change orders or variations, and contractual advice.
  • Strong influencing skills, business and risk acumen, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Legal or dispute claims resolution experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership qualities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
