Job Summary
The Continental Chef Commi 1 supports senior chefs with food preparation, basic cooking, kitchen hygiene, inventory handling, and equipment care.
The role requires three years of Continental Chef Commi 1 experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist DCDP and CDP chefs with basic preparation and cooking tasks.
- Perform boiling, frying, and sautéing under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Follow recipes and portion controls carefully.
- Participate in mise en place, chopping, peeling, and basic stock preparation.
Quality and Safety
- Follow kitchen hygiene, food safety, and cross-contamination rules.
- Handle and store ingredients properly.
- Observe cooking times and temperatures under supervision.
Inventory, Waste and Equipment
- Assist with ingredient handling, storage, and FIFO compliance.
- Reduce waste through careful preparation and reporting of unused items.
- Maintain knives, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Experience Requirement
- Three years of experience as a Continental Chef Commi 1 is required.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,600 to AED 1,800 per month.
