- Admit patients with Plastic Surgery pathologies and take responsibility for their care, diagnosis and management.
- Provide high quality patient care in all aspects of Plastic Surgery.
- Take informed consent and explain risks and benefits.
- Collaborate with other departments for appropriate consultation and medical care.
- Conduct ward rounds and reassess inpatients.
- Participate in teaching and training of residents, fellows, and junior staff.
- Attend specialty clinics and share on call schedule.
- Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects.
Requirements
- Medical degree and board certification in Plastic Surgery
- Senior level experience in Plastic Surgery
- Ability to teach and supervise junior staff
- Active participation in research

Job Summary
- Responsible for providing high quality care in diagnosis and treatment of Plastic disease and pathologies in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Hospital policies and procedures.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Admits patients with Plastic Surgery pathologies and takes responsibility for their care, diagnosis and managements.
- Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Plastic Surgery according to his/her approval clinical privileges.
- Takes informed consent and explain to the patient all the risk and benefits.
- Works with other support service Departments and medical specializations to provide appropriate and timely consultation.
- Complies with all Hospital standards and policies.
- Assesses patients disease or condition to determined appropriate therapeutic modalities/procedures.
- Conducts ward rounds as per policy and reassesses inpatients under care.
- Participates in self and others education, training and development.
- Attends speciality clinics, outpatient clinics, day surgical units, and shares on call schedule.
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise junior staff on patient management, especially in the field of Plastic Surgery.
- Guides and actively participates in the training of Residents, Fellows, Assistant Consultant and Junior Staff.
- Keeps up with the latest techniques and developments in Plastic Surgery.
- Actively participates in the education activities and training programs of the Department.
- Attend and present in Regional, National and/or International Medical Conference at least once a year.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Takes the administrative duties assigned by Head Section or Chairman of the Department.
- Participates in all mandatory Departmental activities and serves on Department and Hospital committees.
- Assists the Department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help maximize utilization of resources.
Research Responsibilities
- Participates in clinical, basic and translational research projects and publishes papers.
- Participates in self and others education, training and development as applicable.
