Job Overview
- Responsible for diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases in Nephrology
- Provides medical care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Nephrology
- Provides consultation (inpatient and emergency room) upon request
- Responsible for timely completion, accuracy and legibility of medical records
- Provides on call service and ensures availability within prescribed timeframe
- Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for transfer/discharge
- Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty
Academic Responsibilities
- Provides orientation, bedside training and supervision to interns, residents and fellows
- Participates in department educational activities and training programs
- Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and continuing education requirements
