Role overview
Support Ramboll’s global Impact Assessment team on European projects across energy, infrastructure, industrial, data centre, and property sectors.
Work with European colleagues on projects involving wind, solar, hydrogen, carbon capture, transmission, and energy storage.
Support project stages from feasibility and risk appraisal through Environmental Impact Assessment and consent-condition compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Support United Kingdom and Danish teams with impact assessment work from Ramboll’s India office.
- Identify, review, and summarize relevant data and plan collection to address data gaps.
- Prepare reports in English and support European environmental permit applications.
- Coordinate contributions from internal teams and external specialists.
- Support senior consultants with project tasks and project management.
- Present complex technical concepts clearly to clients, regulators, and legal groups.
Qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, earth sciences, or a closely related environmental discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience on Environmental Impact Assessment projects.
- Experience applying national and international environmental regulations.
- Experience supporting or leading project workstreams and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Skills and capabilities
- Clear, concise, and accurate written English and fluent verbal English are required.
- Ability to interpret complex environmental data and regulations.
- Ability to present technical information to clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
- ArcGIS, field work, and data analysis experience are beneficial.
- Familiarity with environmental permitting is beneficial.
- Knowledge of sustainability and environmental management practices is beneficial.
- International work experience, preferably including European experience, is advantageous.
