Associate - Project Manager Data Centre

Role Overview

Client Engagement

• Act as the primary interface with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Lead project design reviews and executive steering committee sessions.
• Manage deliverables, priorities, risks, schedule, budget performance, scope ambiguities, and change requests.

Design Management

• Set up project tools, schedules, teams, workstreams, and the work breakdown structure.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, ELV/IBMS, architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
• Manage third-party consultants and maintain structured coordination processes.
• Review coordinated, integrated, constructible design outputs and assess buildability and operability.

Project Controls and Quality

• Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, budget, and commercial risks.
• Maintain the master project schedule and implement corrective actions for delays.
• Review designs against TIA-942, Uptime Tier standards, ASHRAE, NFPA/NBC fire codes, and UAE regulations.
• Manage BIM coordination and maintain quality standards across project stages.

Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, build a collaborative culture, and mentor engineers.
• Communicate with C-suite clients, senior leadership, and multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge across HVAC and mechanical systems, electrical power systems, ELV/IBMS, architecture, and structural design.
• Understanding of data centre design processes, AI infrastructure, construction methods, and cross-discipline design dependencies.
• Ability to review SLDs, P&IDs, layouts, BIM models, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of data centre standards, fire codes, and the UAE regulatory landscape.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 8 years of project or design management experience, including at least 5 years on data centre or mission-critical facility projects.
• BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with hyperscale projects, global delivery, multidisciplinary teams, UAE authority approvals, and BIM workflows.
• PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
• Integrated project delivery or collaborative design experience is a good-to-have qualification.
