Construction contracts leadership role supporting contractual risk, governance, compliance, and commercial performance across major UAE projects.
The position covers both pre-award and post-award contract management in construction, infrastructure, EPC, industrial, or engineering environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-award and post-award contract management activities.
- Review tenders and identify contractual, commercial, and legal risks.
- Support bids, negotiations, and commercial strategy development.
- Manage variations, extensions of time, delay claims, disputes, payment recovery, and close-out.
- Advise project and leadership teams on obligations, risk mitigation, and compliance.
- Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, LOIs, joint venture agreements, and consortium agreements.
- Maintain contract records, guarantees, insurances, and project correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with governance requirements, UAE regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quantity surveying, law, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of contracts management experience in relevant project environments.
- Strong pre-award and post-award contract management exposure.
- Extensive knowledge of FIDIC Red, Yellow, and Silver Books.
- Experience with claims, extensions of time, variations, negotiations, and disputes.
- Knowledge of UAE construction laws and contractual frameworks.
- CIArb and/or RICS accreditation is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Contract expertise
- Familiarity with NEC, JCT, and bespoke contracts is included as an additional contract capability.
- Relevant experience includes contract administration, commercial risk management, claims, and dispute resolution.
