Responsibilities
- Acts as a safety leader, ensuring EPIC Contractor’s work in compliance to Company Life Saving Rules and all safety and environmental regulations
- Supervise all EPIC contractors piping installation activities based on approved engineering documentation and project schedule
- Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) as per approved ITPs, including Material Receiving Inspections
- Lead the EPIC construction contractor(s) on all mechanical aspects of the piping works
- Manage and lead final mechanical completion inspections and punch closing
- Supervise the Pre Com activities to ensure safety and the quality of the completed work
- Sign work permits on behalf of Company and ensure contractor’s compliance with work permits
- Maintain a daily record of progress (daily diary) noting special comments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years overall experience in piping erection (UG & AG), pressure testing, mechanical completion and construction of oil and gas facilities
- Experience as an EPIC Contractor supervisor
- Current experience in State of Qatar industrial cities and/or other GCC countries
- Extensive knowledge of international and industry specific piping codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI B31.3 & B31.1, SHELL DEP’s
- Excellent written and oral English skills
- Ability to read piping drawings, P&ID’s and manufacturer’s instructions

Experience

- Current experience in State of Qatar industrial cities and/or other GCC countries is required.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

- Reporting to the Discipline Construction Lead/Senior Construction Supervisor on main issues, events at site, progress reporting, trends and recommendation for improvement.
- Supervise all EPIC contractors piping installation activities are based on approved engineering documentation and project schedule.
- Attend Requests For Inspections (RFIs) as per approved ITPs, including Material Receiving Inspections.
- Lead the EPIC construction contractor(s) on all mechanical aspects of the piping works.
