Role Overview
Support construction, installation, inspection, testing, and pre-commissioning for a major Oil and Gas project.
The project sector is Oil and Gas, covering midstream and downstream facilities.
Education and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- Formal QA/QC functional training is required.
- Minimum 10 years of Oil and Gas construction-project experience is required.
- Experience with static and rotating equipment installation and midstream or downstream facility inspections is required.
- Experience as an EPIC Contractor Supervisor is mandatory.
- Client or PMC Supervisor experience is preferred.
Technical Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, ISO, NFPA, Shell DEP, and related industry standards and specifications.
- Experience with FAT, equipment alignment, inspections, pressure testing, punch lists, mechanical completion, and pre-commissioning.
- Knowledge of painting, galvanizing, wrapping, insulation, coating systems, and preservation requirements.
- Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield environments.
- Understanding of PTW, LOTO, live-facility tie-ins, construction testing, and commissioning interfaces.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, mechanical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise static and rotating equipment installation activities.
- Coordinate inspections, RFIs, and testing activities.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support mechanical completion, punch close-out, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Interface with QA/QC, HSE, vendors, and project stakeholders for safe and quality execution.
