Role Overview

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Extensive commissioning experience in oil and gas projects.
• Strong construction management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Experience and Technical Requirements

• Eight to ten years of relevant construction and installation experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience in telemetry installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of construction best practices, systems, processes, and industry standards.
• Understanding of construction techniques for brownfield environments and wellhead facilities.
• Experience across Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, and Telemetry disciplines for offshore environments.
• Proficiency in interpreting method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to supervise a multidisciplinary and multinational workforce.
• Computer literacy with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of quality control, safety, and environmental requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent the company at offshore worksites and ensure construction and installation activities meet project and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with operations teams on site access, work preparation, and hot-work requirements.
• Supervise contractor activities for Electrical, Instrumentation, Fire and Gas, DCS, ESD, and Telecom systems.
• Review design drawings, method statements, and material inspection documentation.
• Conduct or oversee receipt inspections and report damaged or missing materials.
• Prepare work permits and ensure compliance with electronic permit-to-work procedures.
• Attend daily coordination meetings and coordinate personnel and material logistics.
• Review contractor schedules, method statements, and job hazard analyses.
• Liaise with contractor and HSE teams on procedures and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress against drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Supervise and approve cable pulling, glanding, termination, loop checks, megger testing, cabinet installation, and field instrument installation.
• Perform or witness inspections, manage punch lists, review completion certificates, and submit progress reports.
