Role overview
A DFSA-regulated asset management firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer and MLRO.
The role leads the firm's compliance and financial crime prevention framework in line with DFSA rules and international AML/CFT standards.
Location
- The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the firm's MLRO, subject to DFSA individual authorisation, and oversee AML/CFT policies and the compliance framework.
- Maintain compliance with DFSA rulebooks, monitor regulatory developments, and update policies and fund documentation.
- Design and maintain risk-based AML/KYC procedures for investor onboarding, subscriptions, and redemptions.
- Oversee sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting, and liaison with the UAE FIU and DFSA.
- Provide compliance input into fund launches, offering documents, valuation policies, and fund governance.
- Oversee compliance monitoring of delegated and outsourced service providers.
- Conduct gap analysis and independent testing and prepare board and senior management reporting.
- Deliver AML/compliance training and support regulatory queries, audits, investor due diligence, filings, and licensing matters.
