Job Summary

  • Functions as strategic business leader of property's food and beverage, culinary, and recreational operations
  • Oversees development and implementation of departmental strategies
  • Ensures execution of brand service strategy and key brand initiatives
  • Ensures operations meet brand's target customer needs
  • Delivers high quality dining experiences, innovative culinary concepts, and engaging leisure activities
  • Maintains high levels of employee satisfaction
  • Focuses on growing revenues, optimizing guest engagement, and maximizing financial performance
  • Integrates recreational and lifestyle experiences with culinary offerings

Candidate Profile Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area
  • OR 2 year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related professional area

Skills and Knowledge

  • Customer and Personal Service knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Management of Financial Resources determining how money will be spent and accounting for expenditures
  • Administration and Management knowledge of business and management principles
  • Applied Business Knowledge understanding market dynamics and enterprise level objectives
  • Management of Material Resources obtaining and using equipment, facilities, and materials

Core Work Activities Developing and Maintaining Goals

  • Sets expectations and holds leadership teams accountable for desired service behaviors
  • Reviews financial reports to determine performance against budget
  • Makes recommendations for CAPEX funding for food and beverage equipment, culinary enhancements, and recreational facilities
  • Works with leadership to identify areas of concern and develop strategies to improve financial performance
  • Establishes challenging, realistic, and attainable goals
  • Continuously strives to improve service quality, guest engagement, and recreational experiences

Developing and Maintaining Budgets

  • Develops and manages Food & Beverage, culinary, and recreational budgets
  • Monitors actual and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded
  • Ensures cash control, liquor control, and operational policies are implemented
  • Focuses on maintaining profit margins while enhancing guest experiences
