About the Role

Responsibilities
- Assist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activities
- Develop knowledge in chosen discipline and how different systems interact in buildings
- Conduct site inspections in selected discipline
- Assess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice
- Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance
- Report issues found to senior team members
- Liaise with contractors commissioning team
- Carry out site observations with respect to quality of installation
- Monitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools
- Assist with tracking completion of tasks and preparing lookahead documents
- Keep daily diary of events and activities
Requirements
- MEP / Building Services Engineering Degree (BSc Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering) or equivalent diploma/certificate
- Minimum 2 years of job related experience with Engineering Degree, or 3 years with College Diploma, or 4 years with College/Trade Certificate
- Industry accreditations such as Incorporated Engineer, CSA Grade 3, or commissioning certification (BCA, ACG, NEBB) are desirable but not essential

Job Purpose
- As part of a multi discipline project team representing AESG, conduct site inspections and verify the tested results are correct.
- Develop knowledge about commissioning processes and test procedures in engineering discipline and demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn.
Qualifications/Experience
- MEP / Building Services Engineering Degree: BSc Mechanical Engineering, BSc Electrical Engineering, or BSc Building Services Engineering.
- MEP / Building Services Engineering College Diploma: HNC, HND or equivalent.
- MEP / Building Services Engineering College Certificate: ONC, OND or equivalent.
- MEP Trade Time Served + City & Guilds Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years of job related experience + Engineering Degree.
- Minimum 3 years of job related experience + College Diploma.
- Minimum 4 years of job related experience + College or Trade Certificate.
